In 2021–22, India's booming cryptocurrency market lacked reliable, organized news sources, and price listings in US dollars created confusion among Indian users
Recognizing this confusion, I dug deeper into what’s missing. That’s when I discovered clear gaps in existing solutions
vISUAL iDENTITY
Typography
I chose Roboto Slab for titles and Roboto for body text and numbers because they offer excellent readability, even at small sizes. Their clean, modern letterforms create a clear visual hierarchy and ensure a consistent, user-friendly experience
Colors
To maintain a consistent look, I decided to use a limited color palette and, with the help of stakeholders, we finalized these colors.
Iconography
I designed a 24-pixel icon with a 1.6-pixel stroke, inspired by Spotify’s design standards to ensure consistency, clarity, and scalability across screens.
dESIGN sOLUTION
Feature #1 -Integrated Crypto News Feed
Created a feature that integrates and summarizes global crypto news, curating content from multiple national and international sources, including news sites.
Users can personalize the news according to their interests by selecting specific topics, cryptocurrencies, and regions they want to follow. This ensures they receive relevant and tailored updates that match their preferences
Feature #2 - Catering to Indian Preferences with INR Default Pricing
For the market analysis app designed for the Indian audience, cryptocurrency asset prices were set to display in Indian Rupees (INR) by default. However, users can switch to any other currency of their choice
